On a particularly stormy night, Fauziah’s already frail father is hit by a car during his return home. The driver Yazid is a young kind man who takes to caring after Fauziah and eventually marries her. In Darah Muda, Fauziah is the epitome of a virtuous woman during its time – extremely reserved, pious, a faithful wife and a nurturing mother
